Project Pan Introduction

Today I will be sharing with you the make-up products I am trying to use up. This project will run for three months, so until the beginning of April, which seems like a reasonable amount of time for my first project pan ever. The goal is to use these products up before April and I think I can hit that goal on more than half of my products. So let’s see what I will be using.

Benefit POREfessional primer – 7.5ml

This is a sample I got last summer while on holiday. It’s a really nice primer, it fills in the pores around my nose very nicely which I like, since I don’t wear foundation very much. There’s not much in here, so this should be easy to use up.

Mac Studio Fix Fluid NW10 – a few ml

I got this sample in my local mac store to test both the formula and to get colour matched. It’s handy to know what mac shade you are when looking for foundation colours or to compare if a colour lipstick would look good on you from a youtuber. I like this foundation, but the smell is quite bad. It’s a small sample, so this should be easy to use up.

Catrice Camouflage Cream – 010 Ivory 3g

I’ve head this concealer for quite some time, I got it because someone on youtube recommended it. It’s quite thick and I do think this one is best applied with you fingers. Since it’s old I think it’s time to use this up and get this out of my collection. I use this both under my eyes as well as around my nose. I only just recently started to apply this with my fingers again and now I’m seeing much more use in the product than before. It’s going to be a challenge, but it should be doable to use up.

Catrice Prime and Fine Mattifying Powder -010 Translucent 9g

This powder I use to set the above mentioned concealer and I like this powder a lot. However, if I put this on my whole face my face will feel very warm and uncomfortable during the day. So I will probably not use this one up before April, but I am just looking to see a lot more use in this pan.

Essence Mattifying Compact Powder -10 Light Beige 12g

This is the powder I’ve been using since I got into make-up. It cancels out just enough redness on my cheeks for my liking. This one should not be hard to use up. I have a different powder in my collection which I want to crack into. Also, the packaging broke a few days ago, so the lid is now loose.

Essence Sun Club Matt Bronzing Powder – 01 Natural 15g

This bronzer is absolutely HUGE. Oh, and also quite powdery and orange, but I can make it work. I’ve been using this for a few weeks now, and as you can see there is significant pan in there, probably because it’s so powdery. This one is a challenge, but it should be possible to have a lot of progress in this product before April.

Essence Happy Girls are Pretty Contouring Set – 01 Happiness is .. a way of life 7.4g

This product is going to be a very big challenge. It I use to much of the contour side it can turn very orange on me very quickly. My goals is to hit pan on this one. The highligher I won’t use, it’s basically white powder with glitter. After hitting pan I can declutter it from my collection and I can start using my beloved Inglot contouring powder again.

Essence Soo Glow cream to powder highlighter – 20 Brighten up you life 4g

This is a cream product that I’ve had in my collection for quite some time now. It is nowhere near drying out, but I feel like it’s to use it up. Using it up will be a challenge, but if I use it everyday I should make significant progress. Maybe I should try and find a different way of using this.

Essence Mosaic Blush – 40 The Berry Connection 5.4g

This is probably my favourite blush in my collection. It’s quite sheer and I feel like pigmentation is starting to go downhill so it’s time to use it up and buy a new one(just kidding, I have more than enough blush). Using it up might be a challenge though, but I think that if I repress it sometime soon it should be possible.

Inglot AMC Eyeshadow Base – 01 5.5g

To be fair, I am not sure If I like this product. It’s a bit dry for my liking, but I can make it work by applying a very light layer over my eye-shadow primer. I have a weird vein on my right eyelid that never went back to normal colour after I had a black eye which this product cancels out very nicely. A challenge to use up, but not impossible to at least hit pan.

Essence Me and My Umbrella Eyeshadow – 01 Be Your Own Rainbow 2.29g

This is a white, very powdery eye-shadow that I use to set my eye-shadow primer or base. It’s okay, but I like to use something that doesn’t look this chalky on my eyes. But since it’s okay I’ve decided to use it up before moving on to other cream/white eye shadows. This should be quite easy to (almost) use up by April.

Inglot AMC Eye-liner – 66 5.5g

I’ve had this eye-liner for about a year and a half and it is going strong! It may not look like it, but this is still as creamy and easy to use as the day I got it. But, because it’s getting quite old and I want to invest in some other colours(dark green and brown) I am trying to use this one up. This is not going to happen by April though, but with some added Duraline it may happen before 2018.

Essence Make Me Brow – Blondy Brows

This one is almost gone and I already have a backup in my drawer because I like it that much. It adds volume and hold to my very sparse and invisible brows after I use a pencil. The brush is coming out significantly dryer than before, so this one should be very easy to use up before April.

Other products

Last but not least there are a few products that I need to mark on a paper to see progress. First of all the Kiko Eyebrow Sculpt Automatic Pencil in 01 0.25g. I’ve used about half of this, but I’ve been using this for months now. So this one might be a challenge. Next my Essence Lip Liner in Satin Taupe. This is my favourite lip liner and I am no ashamed to say I have 8(!) backups of this in my drawer because they discontinued it. If I don’t forget to use it, it’s possible to use up. Then two lipsticks, Revlon Lipbutter in 050 Berry Smoothie and Essence Colour and Care Lipstick in 03 life’s my runway. Both of these are very creamy, hydrating products and also quite old. They need frequent touch ups, so I don’t think these are hard to use up.

Are you currently trying to use up any products?
